4. WCH Men's Groups: Fatherhood Group

This group meets for six weeks and provides fathers with the opportunity to discuss topics such as the role of dads.

Raising confident children
Dealing with difficult behaviours
Dealing with stress and anger
Relationships and family dynamics
Communicating with children.

Groups are run at a number of locations including Bagster's Community House in Salisbury North. This group runs from 7pm-9pm on a Monday evening.

If you are interested please contact Steve on (08) 8243 5544 for further information.

5. DADS Group - DADS ARE DOING STUFF

This was developed by a number of fathers who, once they had completed the fatherhood group at Salisbury North, decided that they wanted further groups for fathers.

They organised to run the group from Kid's 'n' You Family Services. The group's focus is to promote the role of fathers in a positive way.

The group organises activities that they and other fathers can do with their children. One example was a recent visit to Penfield Railway where the fathers took their children for the day.

The group meets fortnightly to share ideas, support each other, discuss and plan future activities. If you are interested please contact (08) 8287 4855 or (08) 8243 5544.
