There's nothing my son likes more than seeing airplanes in the sky, which is why a his favourite place is the Aldinga Airfield. He sits there watching the light planes take off, fly around and land.
If only he was old enough to go on a joyflight, which they offer on different types of planes.
The cafe is great to sit and watch the planes while enjoying a coffee or homemade treat, the brownies with icecream are my favourite when I get a bite. There are homemade sandwiches and other drinks to choose from.
There's a seat from a plane that the kids can sit in and pretend to be a pilot with the headset on.
The planes come so close, which is great for the kids to watch but are set behind a fence for safely.
The inside offers a great plane decor and old style board games. My son was playing with the wooden puzzles and enjoyed a game of naughts and crosses with me.It was a warm day when we went so inside was nice and cool to watch the planes without getting too hot.
