Adelaide isn't short of wonderful pram walks, bush walks and hikes but have you tried them all? Consider these that aren't far from the city and are based from the East around to the South and South East Coastline.



10 Adelaide Bushwalks and Hikes to try in 2017, Anstey Hill Recreation Park, Quarry Views Hike


1. Quarry Views Hike - 1km
Located in the Anstey Hill Recreation Park
Quarry Track, Tea Tree Gully

Dogs allowed on a leash
No bike riding permitted

This hike takes you high above the quarry bowl with great views of the area. It is best travelled in a clockwise direction.

This park is one of the largest reserves of remnant bushland in the upper catchment zone of the Onkaparinga Valley.

No mountain bikes permitted

One of Australia's most outstanding geological and archaeological sites where more than 1,700 Aboriginal artefacts have been found. The interpretative walking trail includes evidence of an Australian ice age some 280 million years ago.

Loop of Circuit A: Toll Gate Circuit and Circuit B: Wheal Watkins Circuit

Part of the Burnside Walks which is a series of trails around the hills on the edge of the City of Burnside, and in Mount Osmond Reserve. The trails are all well marked, with regular signs and numbered checkpoints that correspond to the excellent walking map.
