2017 South Australian Tourism Awards WINNER, and WINNER of the 2017 South Australian Tourism Awards People’s Choice. It is easy to see why Adelaide Zoo is such a popular place to take the family.
Adelaide Zoo, the second oldest zoo in Australia, spans over eight hectares and lies, quite poetically, next to the
Adelaide Botanic Gardens. It is home to more than 250 species of native and exotic animals, such as: the Common Wombat; Emus; African Lions; Giraffes; and the very popular, Giant Pandas. You can see the full list of animals at the zoo, and find out more about them,
here.

On entering the zoo, you feel a sense of wonder and excitement. The Hippos are right in front of you, swimming and bobbing their heads up to the surface. The Giraffes are an absolute sight to behold in their stature. There is something for everyone to see at Adelaide Zoo, whether it be the likes of creepy crawlies, and slithery reptiles, or the playful Australian Sea Lions, and fluffy Meerkats.

The Adelaide Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.
If, by half way around, your children are complaining of sore feet, you can hire a Zoobaru (an amazing push cart) for
$15.00. Or, if your children are still running around, with a tank full of energy, stop by
Nature’s Playground so you can have a rest, while your children run, jump, and climb until their hearts are content.
