Tis the season to be jolly, so get along to these fantastic Christmas events happening around Adelaide.

The lead up to Christmas is always such a busy time, but you still have to keep the kids entertained somehow! Adelaide has a huge number of family friendly Christmas events happening in November and December, and we have found some of the best!

Remember to always check the website before you go, just in case the details have changed.

Do you want to learn how to knit? Or have recently started and would like to meet some new friends to share your creativity with, all while having a good chat? Adelaide Knitting Club has beginner classes running now.
The Adelaide Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.
Civic Park Carols

One of Australia’s favourite singers, Guy Sebastian will perform at this HUGE evening of carolling and family fun! Just some of the highlights include the Family Fun Zone, pre-show entertainment including The Grinch, with the Carols main show commencing at 7:30pm. All of this - for FREE!

Dinner is sorted with a choice of delicious food and lots more! This is one Christmas event not to be missed!

Christmas at Aldinga Shopping Centre

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Aldinga Shopping Centre….and Father Christmas and his Elves will soon be paying a visit. From Tuesday, 17th December to Monday, 23rd December, you can bring the kids in for a photo with Father Christmas between 10am and 4pm. Photo packages are just $20, making these the best value Santa photos in town!

Christmas Lights, Festive Nights

The City of Adelaide will light up over 10 magical evenings and entertainment - sit in Santa’s sleigh led by a LEGO Rudolph, browse the Christmas markets on the weekends and watch movies on Fridays! There will be activities, craft and workshops plus the lighting of the Christmas tree, live music, choir performances and food trucks.



When: Friday, 13th December to Sunday, 22nd December from 5-9pm
Where: Victoria Square, Adelaide

Santa’s Wonderland

Santa’s Wonderland is an exciting world of wonder for the whole family. Visit the stunning themed areas and meet fairies, princesses and elves as they roam throughout Santa’s Wonderland, with photo opportunities at every corner.

With 8-metre high Christmas trees, the Snow Queen’s sleigh, Santa’s sleigh and everybody’s favourite, the Ride on Reindeers, this event creates everlasting memories that will last a lifetime. Entry includes unlimited free rides, and caters for all ages, with rides including family favourites.

Minda Christmas Carols and Markets

Bring the kids along to the Minda Christmas Carols and Markets for a fun day of activities, number cars, jumping castle and travelling farm. Browse the market stalls and grab a light meal or snack from one of the food outlets. Santa will be appearing between 12pm and 4:30pm, with a break from 2-2:30pm.

When: Saturday, 7th December from 11am
Where: Minda Inc, 12-16 King George Avenue, North Brighton
Ages: All ages
Cost: Gold coin donation.

Santa’s Christmas Cracker

This is one for mum and dads to take some time off from the kids! Santa’s Christmas Cracker is an unforgettable evening of laughs, fun and festivities. The evening includes a delicious three-course dinner, full beverage package and spectacular entertainment.



When: Friday 13th and Saturday 14th December

Santa Paws by the Sea

Avoid the crowds and parking hassles of shopping centres and bring your family, including the furry family members, along to the iconic Palais Hotel for a photo with Santa. The big man in red be bringing his best little helpers with him to the 'Deck' overlooking the beautiful Semaphore sand dunes at the Palais. So grab your family, dress up your fur babies or round up the besties and take an epic Santa photo!



When: Sunday, December 8th 11am-2pm

Let it Snow at Westfield Marion

It is truly going to be a white Christmas at Westfield Marion! In the lead up to Christmas, Westfield Marion will host the magic of the North Pole with snow play, located alongside the Santa Set at Centre Court, Level 1 near Pandora. This activation is free and there is no requirement to book.



When: Friday, 29th November, then daily Thursday 12th December to Christmas Eve

Santa Pet Photography at Westfield West Lakes

Bring your family dogs, cats or rabbits along to Westfield West Lakes for a photo with Santa! There are several sessions available between Monday, 25th November and Tuesday, 10th December between 5:30-8:30pm and bookings are essential, as these sessions fill up very quickly!
