Hannah is a Registered Midwife in private practice, a certified Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner, as well as an award-winning childbirth educator. With her background as a Midwife in multiple hospitals she knows the ‘ins-and-outs’ of the maternity system here in Australia and is passionate about helping women to achieve a positive pregnancy, birth and postnatal experience.

Antenatal classes with PBC Expo Midwife Hannah focus on your Pregnancy, Labour and Birth and covers a variety of important topics including:
Pregnancy by trimesters
Care provider options
Stages of labour
Pain relief
Information and antenatal education
Birth plans

There will be 3 sessions daily:
9:30am – 10:15pm
12:30pm – 1:15pm
3:30 – 4:15pm


The Australian Breastfeeding Association is Australia’s leading authority on breastfeeding.

Their talk at PBC will cover key information including:
Benefits of breastfeeding
The let down reflex
Supply and demand feeding
How to know if your baby is getting enough breast milk
Positioning and attachment
You’ll also hear about the support available to help you with your breastfeeding journey.

There will be 3 sessions daily:
9am – 9:20am
12pm – 12:20pm
3pm – 3:20pm


Red Nose has been advising new parents in Australia on safe sleeping for babies for 40 years. This safe sleep talk informs parents and carers on how to reduce the risk of SIDS, stillbirth, miscarriage and fatal sleep accidents for babies and toddlers in their care.

The presentation will cover Red Nose’s six evidence-base safe sleeping recommendations:
Why they recommend sleeping baby on their back
Why you should keep your baby’s head and face uncovered
The risks of smoking before and after your baby’s birth
What is a safe sleeping environment and how you can recreate this at home
Why you should sleep your baby in your room
The benefits of breastfeeding
Ask the midwives: your antenatal and safe sleeping questions answered

There will be 3 sessions daily:
10:30am – 10:50am
1:30pm – 1:50pm
4:30pm – 4:50pm


The Safety Centre demonstrations are brought to you by Kidsafe; preventing childhood injury through increased awareness of child safety issues and injury prevention throughout the community.

Demonstrations will include information on:
Car Safety
Buying and safely using the right car restraint is one of the most challenging tasks facing parents.
What kind of restraint should you choose that best suits your needs?
Safety guidelines and Top 10 ways to keep children safe while travelling in motor vehicles

There will be 3 demonstration sessions daily:

The home is the most common location for childhood injury to occur. There can be many hazards in the home which can lead to injuries from falls, drowning, burns & scalds, choking & suffocation, electrocution, toys, dog bites and more.

The Dads Group representative will be sharing some of his inspirational ‘lived experience’ of becoming a father for the first time and how he overcame some of the ‘challenges of fatherhood’.

Tune in to this talk if you’re a dad, a dad-to-be, or a dad planning to be as Dads Group will unpack the ‘real’ fatherhood journey and share with you insights on how you can ‘set yourself up to succeed’ on your fatherhood journey.
