Come and enjoy fluffy pancakes and sweet maple syrup 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Original Pancake Kitchen is Adelaideís own, very delicious pancake house. The original owners, back in 1965, were travelling around U.S.A, and sampling some of the best food in American Diners, which gave them a brilliant idea. Once they arrived back home to Adelaide, they immediately set up a pancake parlour, with as many different toppings as they could think of.

Now, in 2018, after going through many owners, the newest owners have kept the ĎAmerican Dinerí menu alive, by introducing quintessential American cuisine along with pancakes, such as, burgers, Sloppy Joes, hot dogs, and many more.

I have to admit, I had breakfast here this morning, that is what inspired me to write this article. I love pancakes, but I love them a particular way. I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to my pancakes. I enjoy them with lashings of maple syrup, and maybe some bacon on the side. I find, when I eat out for breakfast, a lot of cafes will have pancakes on the menu with ice cream, or cream (which I just donít understand), so I have to order my pancakes by omitting a few ingredients, and asking for other ingredients in itís place- often arriving at my table with ice-cream on the side, anyway. So, I was thrilled to see many options for pancakes. Of course, they still had the option of ice-cream or cream (It must be a popular option), but they also have just plain old maple syrup option as well. I was extremely happy with the light, fluffy texture of the pancakes, and the delicious syrup, as well as the price (very affordable). Plus, they are filling! I couldnít even eat two pancakes, and I have a good appetite.

There are also options for savoury or sweet pancakes. I must not forget to mention that The Original Pancake Kitchen have All You Can Eat Pancakes on Tuesdays for $16.50. I donít know how well I would go, considering I couldnít even finish two, but itís a challenge thatís hard to turn down.
