Adopt your New Pet from Moorook Animal Shelter and Save a Life

by Jodi (follow)
Adelaide North (30)      Pet Friendly (14)
The Moorook Animal Shelter has been saving the lives of unwanted dogs and cats since 1999. It is a non profit and non kill organisation run by the lovely, kind hearted Lola McLaghlan.

Being a former 'Riverlander', I have supported this shelter since its beginnings, and have had the pleasure of meeting Lola and adopting a lovely cat of our very own.

The shelter and all of its volunteers have made such a difference for many unwanted dogs and cats in the Riverland area.

If your interests include meeting new people and exploring all that the exciting North Adelaide food culture hub has to offer, the Adelaide Food Safari has an event for you!
Even though it is based in the Riverland, The Moorook Animal Shelter can arrange transportation of your chosen new best buddy down to the Barossa, Gawler and Adelaide area.

All pets available for adoption are wormed, vaccinated, desexed and dogs are micro-chipped.

Every dog is carefully assessed and they encourage a two week trial period to make sure both families, other pets and doggies are happy.

It can take time for an adult dog to settle into the new home, but with the love, patience and attention they deserve, you can be blessed with a gorgeous loving companion.

You can view your new best friend(s) on The Moorook Animal Shelter Website, Facebook or The Pet Rescue Website.

Not only do they have a bunch of lovely pets for adoption, they offer a surrender service for those that unfortunately for whatever reason, can no longer have their beloved pet, or have not been able to re-home them by themselves.

"We do not discriminate, we provide a second chance for all ages, gender, breeds, colours and sizes, as every dog and cat deserves to find a loving home."

So when searching for a new fur-baby, please, please, consider saving a life. It's not only rewarding, the animals really do appreciate it more than you think.

If you aren't looking for a new friend please spread the word and let your friends, neighbours, relatives and workmates know that we exist.

The shelter is open Sunday to Friday.
Please call for an appointment on 0417868394.
Saturdays - Closed.

The Moorook Animal Shelter is a not-for-profit organisation that relies on your support. Please help us to continue saving lives by donating via the website here.

We may not be able to save every dog or cat, but you can help us try, as every one of them deserves a place to call home.
