Hi there,

Wondering if any Mumma's can shed some light regarding pregnancy appointments/birthing options for someone overweight with a high BMI. I had my 1st child through the WCH (public) and was still overweight but under the accepted weight range for this hospital. If i fall pregnant again, I'll be over this threshold. What happens then? Do I have to pay for an obstetrician? What hospitals are an option? I was really happy with my public care last time and don't have pregnancy cover through a health fund. I'm well aware that losing weight before becoming pregnant is the ideal situation, but I've had some other issues lately preventing exercise and I'm over 40, so time is a factor. Any advice appreciated!
