Visiting the dentist will probably never be listed as someones favourite past time. Most adults find it a chore to visit their dentist, some adults even refuse to go due to fear.

Imagine how a child would feel. Going to the dentist would not be a common occurrence for them, and some are yet to visit the dentist. The feeling of a stranger's rubber gloved hands, and foreign instruments in their mouth can be very daunting and leave a child feeling anxious.

That is why it's so important to find a dentist who is excellent with children, whether it be kind, gentle, and reassuring, or perhaps has a colourful, child-like atmosphere, or a mixture of both. Adelaide Mums Group has compiled a list of child-friendly dentists in Adelaide, from your recommendations.



1. Little Happy Tooth Co.

Little Happy Tooth Co. specialise in children's oral health. The friendly staff work with you and your child to educate children on oral health, cleaning teeth, and promote healthy relationships so the children feel comfortable and confident in the dentists chair.

An AMG member said " We love the Little Happy Tooth Co on Kensington Road! I went there as a kid & now take my daughter there not too much out of pocket after Medicare rebate too - around $15 for a checkup from memory. They’re amazing with kids!"
