Christmas Carols In Adelaide - 2017

Start warming up those vocal chords and preparing the candles, because here is a list of events that are sure to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Twilight Carols and Christmas Market is an under the stars event, featuring performances by Rachael Leahcar, Cool 4 Kids, and of course, Santa. There will be plenty of food trucks available, or you are welcome to bring a picking dinner.
When: Friday 1st December from 5:00pm – 9:00pm
Where: Linde Reserve, Stepney
Cost: FREE

Playford Community Christmas Carols promises to be an exciting experience for the whole family. With performers such as, Anthony Callea, Rachael Leahcar, and Australia’s leading Gospel Choir; Gospo Collective, you will definitely be on your feet, singing and dancing. There will also be plenty of children’s entertainment, including Mr Santa Claus, himself.
When: Saturday 2nd December from 4:30pm – 9:30pm
Where: Fermont Park, Yorktown Rd, Elizabeth Park 5113

My Family Photo is celebrating the arrival of spring with special styled mini-sessions!
Carols on Campus will be a spectacular event featuring soloists and choristers from Elder Conservatorium of Music, and the legendary Bonython Hall organ.
The audience are encouraged to bring along a gift to put under the University Gifting Tree, which will be donated to The Smith Family.
When: Wednesday 6th December at 7:00pm
Where: Bonython Hall, North Terrace Campus
Cost: FREE
There are limited seats, so make sure you arrive early.

QBE Insurance Adelaide Carols by Candlelight is in its 73rd year, and is Adelaide’s largest Christmas concert. There will be pre-show entertainment and activities starting at 5:00pm, and the main event will kick off at 8:00pm. There are a number of amazing artists performing: Sam Moran, Cameron Daddo, Samantha Jade, and Dami Im (just to name a few). This is one event you do not want to miss.
When: Sunday 10th December
Time: Pre-show entertainment at 5:00pm, Main event at 8:00pm
Where: Elder Park, King William Rd, Adelaide
Cost: FREE (but would appreciate a note donation)

Civic Park Carols is a fun-filled family event combining food, activities, and entertainment. The festivities kick off at 4:00pm with the Family Fun Zone, which includes: jumping castles, face painting, and Christmas craft activities. Pre-show entertainment is arranged for 5:00pm- 7:00pm. The main event starts at 7:30pm, with Jimmy Giggle, The Funny Farmers, Claudia Migliaccio, Jessica Braithwaite, and many more. There will also be plenty of food trucks to satisfy any hunger.
Make sure you stay for the spectacular fireworks display at 9:45pm.
When: Sunday 10 December, from 4:00pm. Main event starting at 7:30pm.
Where: Civic Park, North East Rd, Modbury.
Cost: FREE

Carols Alive will be held on the oval at Cedar College, Northgate. Festivities will kick off at 5:00pm with children's entertainment, mini golf, face painting, jumping castle and rides. Live Christmas music will begin at 7:30pm, with a fireworks show afterwards. There will also be plenty of food and drink stalls to enjoy.
When: Sunday 10 December, from 5:00pm

Running every second Saturday, join Foodi on their interactive Chocolate Walking Tour, where you will discover some of these chocolatiers and gain insight into their craft.
The Adelaide Crochet Club meets fortnightly to learn crochet, meet other Adelaide mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
Colonel Light Gardens Community Christmas Celebration, hosted by Trinity Baptist Church, will be a must-see festive celebration. With free face painting, free sausage sizzle and ice blocks, as well as games and entertainment, it is sure to be a hit with the kids.
When: Sunday 17th December from 5:00pm - 7:30pm
Where: Trinity Baptist Church. 8A Bedford Square, Colonel Light Gardens, 5041

Crafts & Carols On The Lawn
Bring the whole family to a fun afternoon of crafts and carols at The Effective Living Centre in Wayville. There will be a sausage sizzle (gold coin donation) to feed the hungry crowd. Bring your picnic rug, relax and enjoy the Christmas fun.
When: Sunday 17th December from 5:00pm-7:15pm
Where: 26 King William Road, Wayville
