Lights Out Sleep Program
posted 23 days ago
Are you the parent of a child about to begin Prep or Reception? Is your child experiencing sleep problems? Sleep problems in preschool children are highly prevalent, unlikely to remit without treatment, and can lead to a range of mental health and academic problems. Sleep problems are also very disruptive to parents and families. Given that sleep problems can be treated effectively, treating them early in the preschool years before children commence primary school can prevent several associated problems from occurring later in life. We are trialling a new, parent-focussed program for treating preschool sleep problems. The program will be conducted over five sessions (1.5 hours each week) at the psychology clinics at Griffith University Mount Gravatt and Gold Coast, and Flinders University in Adelaide. If this sounds like something you would be interested in participating in, then please contact a member of our research team through our Facebook page fb.me/lightsoutsleep email us on preschoolsleep@griffith.edu.au. We would love to hear from you!
