As mentioned in some of my previous articles, it can be quite difficult to find time, without kids, to exercise. Gym memberships can also be quite costly, and impractical with our busy schedule.
Adelaide Mums Group have a number of articles featuring
free, or low-cost exercise groups and fitness activities in Adelaide. Mums & Bubs Exercise Groups In Adelaide .
This article features exercise groups for mums with young bubs. It incorporates gentle strength training and cardio to help regain some of the lost fitness during your pregnancy. Bring your bub with you for extra bonding time while you work out.
There are three different exercise groups in this article, all in different locations:

Mums And Bubs Movement Classes
These classes are designed to help mothers with young babies build their strength and fitness. Run by
Building Blocks Physiotherapy, Mums and Bubs Movement Classes are held in three suburbs:

MEGA: Mums Exercise Group Australia
MEGA have
FREE, and cheap classes all over Adelaide, throughout the week. You can enjoy a variety of exercises, such as: Circuit training, Pilates, Dance classes, and walking groups- all run by volunteer mums. Bring your children along. The venues are child-friendly, and they will have fun playing with the other children while you work out.

This class is designed to provide you with the opportunity to exercise, while you are carrying your baby. It’s a ‘double endorphin whammy’- exercising and cuddling your baby. There are various Kangatraining locations around Adelaide:

FREE fitness class. Choose from three different workouts: Boxing, Circuit training, and Yoga, or, choose all three! There is a different class on each day, from Monday to Friday, in three locations:

Let’s Hear It For Parkrun
Parkrun is a
free 5km timed running or walking event, held every

Modbury Sporting Hub Discovery Trail
The 2km loop around Modbury’s Sporting Hub is perfect for the whole family. Walk, or ride your way around the discovery trail as many times as you like, while stopping to look at the art displays by local artist. For more information about the discovery trail, click on the link above.
Pram Friendly Walks In Adelaide
For those who enjoy hitting the pavement, we have compiled a list of amazing pram-friendly walking trails all around Adelaide. These are perfect for beginners, as well as the veteran runners.
Adelaide Aquatic Centre
Adelaide Aquatic Centre has an array of fitness programs for a variety of fitness types. Of course, there are lap pools, but there is also a fully stocked gym. You can choose between swimming, weights, cardio equipment, or fitness classes, both in and out of the pool. There is a Creche available for the littlies, and swimming lessons throughout the week.
Mega Adventure Park, West Beach
For those who prefer to take their fitness to new heights, Mega Adventure Park is the place for you. This multi-levelled obstacle course will see you balancing, climbing, swinging, and jumping around the course until you get to the finish (or until you are too exhausted to move anymore). There is also the Sky Walk, and Mega Bounce, which will make your heart rate increase, and muscles shake.
