It canít almost be New Years Eve, can it? Iím sure we were all welcoming 2018 just one or two months ago- not 11 months ago!

Every year I say to myself ĎI will be more organised for the next New Yearís Eve. Iíll plan it six months in advanceí. Well, that resolution didnít come to fruition. So now, here I am, just a few short weeks away from another stressful week researching, planning, and trying to organise something special to do with my family.

While I find a list of family New Years Eve events to attend in Adelaide for myself, I may as well share them with the mums of Adelaide - after all, we really need to stick together, and support each other during this silly season.

The Adelaide Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Adelaide mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
So here is a list of my top New Years Eve events for the whole family:

Big Bash League.
If you are a big fan of cricket, then this is the NYE celebration for you! There will be two matches throughout the day, starting off with the Women's Big Bash League, Adelaide Strikers v Sydney Sixers at 1:20pm . The Menís BBL match will see Adelaide Strikers take on Sydney Thunder, beginning at 6:45pm. Click here to purchase tickets.

Adelaideís New Yearís Eve.
One of the biggest Nye Yearís Eve events in Adelaide, Elder Park will be filled with food trucks, childrenís entertainment, and a whole lot of fun! The festivities kick off at 6:00pm, with pre-show entertainment, food, and drinks. Family fireworks will commence at 9:00pm, and there will also be midnight fireworks to welcome in 2018.

Semaphore Summer Carnival.
While the carnival begins on Saturday 15th December 2018, and ends Monday 28th January 2019, we are more interested in the New Yearís Eve party that they will be hosting. There will be many rides, such as, Dodgem Cars, and Bungee Trampolines. As well as carnival games, like the Laughing Clowns. Family fireworks begin at 9:30pm, there will also be midnight fireworks.

Normanville New Yearís Eve Pageant.
This New Yearís Eve will be the 21st Annual Normanville New Yearís Eve Pageant. The pageant will begin at 7:30pm from Katherine Drive, and will make its way through the streets, until it reaches Normanville foreshore at 8:00pm. There will be entertainment and food at the foreshore, and fireworks at 9:45pm.
