Some fantastic, family-friendly Valentine’s Day events for Adelaide in 2020.
In 2020, Valentine’s Day falls on Friday, 14th February. It’s not always easy to find romance with the kids in tow, but there are some business offering family-friendly events for the mums and dads of Adelaide, plus plenty of activities you can do as a family. Some of them aren't strictly Valentine's Day events, but you can certainly enjoy them with the kids!

Ignite Unley Free Outdoor Cinema - The Greatest Showman
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the family at this FREE outdoor cinema! Enjoy food, refreshments and entertainment from 6pm, and screening of The Greatest Showman (PG) at approximately 8.15pm.
There will be live music, face painting, popcorn and fairy floss, plus a bar (no BYO alcohol).
Bring your bean bag, low beach chair or picnic rug. Limited seats provided, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Everyone loves Disney, so bring the kids along for a magical, musical journey through the biggest and best Disney songs out there! From Mary Poppins to Frozen, relive all your favourite enchanting songs performed by Benjamin Maio Mackay (Great Detectives) and Laura Desmond (socially acceptable) in this family friendly affair.

COST: $25 for adults, $20 for concession and children

Kids Movie and Disco at Wallis Cinemas, Noarlunga
Take the kids to this supervised 'lock-in' screening of Sonic The Hedgehog Movie and enjoy some quality time with your partner! The kids can see the movie and take part in the disco! No parents allowed! Hosted with Blue Light (SA) Inc. Event time 6:45pm - 10pm.
WHERE: Wallis Cinemas, Noarlunga: 38-42 David Witton Drive, Noarlunga Centre
COST: $17.50 per child. Tickets can be purchased at the candy bar.
AGES: 5 to 12 years.

Picnic at the Botanic Gardens
A picnic at Adelaide’s Botanic Garden is always a favourite, and you can take the kids! There is plenty of space to set up a picnic, plus you can pack lots of yummy food that the kids will actually eat, and it’s waaaaay cheaper than going to a restaurant!

Make Cupcakes, Cake or a Special Dessert Box
How about putting something a little sweet together for your sweetheart? You could make cupcakes or a cake, or even a special dessert box with all their favourite cookies, chocolates, biscuits or goodies! You can get the kids to help too, so be prepared for sprinkles….lots of sprinkles!
Make a favourite meal
You could also cook a special breakfast such as pancakes with topping, whip up your partner’s favourite lunch or dinner or plan a dessert.
Make a special gift
Think quirky photo frames from the kids, handmade cards or little trinkets. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money and it is always the effort and thought that counts.
Dinner and Movies at Home
Sometimes, it’s easier just to stay at home for dinner and a movie! Get the kids to bed early, cook up some dinner and enjoy a movie at home with your partner. Take this rare opportunity to spend some quality time together.
