Indicator of autism?

Hi ladies,
Looking for some advice or reassurance.
I have an 8 month old boy and I've noticed that lately he's started hand flapping quite a lot. Only one hand and it seems to be when he's tired or excited. I'm super worried as I've heard and read that it's an indicator of autism.
Apart from the above, he's smiling, laughing and meeting other milestones.
He hasn't started babbling loads yet.
Any experience or reassurance would be great if you've experienced the same.
