Comedian Kate Hanley Corley returns to Adelaide Fringe with her latest show Nervous Breakdance - a hilarious stand-up show/satirical musical that's sure to have you rolling in the aisles (and rolling your eyes). A must-see! Tickets are now on sale - 10 shows only!

Following sell-out Gluttony shows at last year's Fringe as part of Tight Mums Loose Units, Kate takes to the stage with a unique show that perfectly blends brilliant and incisive comedy with fantastic songs to create a magical atmosphere.

In Nervous Breakdance, Kate, a mother of three kids, jokes about the isolation of motherhood, the loss of identity, difficult toddlers and psychotic teens, post-natal depression, sex, ageing, marriage and menopause.

Always looking for the funny side of life's darker moments, Kate has an innate ability to make you laugh and cringe at life's absurdities. Expect hysterical and beautifully crafted songs about parenthood, clinical trials, obstetrician crushes, a high-tech sex doll, long-term marriage and foreign accent syndrome!

As in all her previous shows, Kate has worked alongside longtime collaborator and composer Emma Hart to create comedy songs from a myriad of musical genres - from pop to country, to R’n’b to rap.

About Kate Hanley Corley
Kate Hanley Corley is a Melbourne comedian who performs stand-up and writes and performs satirical songs. Kate's parody song ‘Victoria’ during lockdown had over 1 million views on social media and was shared from Hong Kong to London. Her other lockdown songs ‘Suttonly’ and ‘Hotel Quarantina’ similarly went viral.

Kate's previous characters include French snob Fanny Bouffante whose mission is to turn 'bogans' into 'beau gens' with her book 'French Women Do Everything Better' and South Yarra Mum Annabelle.

The wife and mother of three became a comedian at 37 after years working as a journalist and then script researcher for crime dramas Blue Heelers and City Homicide. She loves devising ways to make people's belly laugh.
