A beautiful, small playground, perfect for toddlers.

Lightsview Toddler Playground is a beautiful, small playground, in an up-and-coming suburb, just 20 minutes from the city center.

Lightsview Toddler Playground

This playground is perfect for toddlers, but still a great playground for older children. The play equipment is at an age appropriate height for children 18 months and up, and has a variety of play experiences.

Some of the play equipment includes:

Swings: including a baby swing, and a large, round, netted swing.
Two inbuilt trampolines.
A jungle gym with a small and large slide.

A variety of play experiences

The safety element of Lightsview Playground is a winner, as well. The fully-fenced playground features a rubber soft-fall surface, which puts my mind at ease, knowing that my children will have a soft landing when they inevitably fall over.

The Adelaide Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.
There is also a large grassed area and picnic tables outside the playground perfect for a full day of activities and meal times.

Of course, this near-new playground does need a little bit of improving. Unfortunately there are no toilets near the playground, so you will have to walk (or run, depending on how urgent the need is) to a nearby playground to use amenities (about 500 metres away). The playground is also completely un-shaded, meaning that the metal slides become too hot to use during warm weather, and the playground is often deserted in the middle of the day during Summer.

If you're in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide, and are looking for a great little playground to take your energetic children to, Lightsview Toddler Playground is worth the stop.
