When I hear museum, I think dusty old relics and boring school trips. When I took my son and daughter for a visit to fill in time before meeting a friend, I was actually surprised at what was there.
It's free entry, warm inside, and there's a lot to entertain the kids. Being the school holidays they had a photo-booth where you could dress up and capture the memory of the day. We looked like explorers with hats and binoculars.
My son loved looking at the different animals, even waiting to watch the lion swish its tail. The giant squid that took up 3 floors was a sight to see how big it really is.
