On a nice cold day, there's nothing more fun than a nice drive through the hills, seeing the lush greenery and cows grazing. We stopped for lunch at Prancing Pony Brewery in Mt Barker.
The food menu wasn't extensive but enough to satisfy and paired well while sampling the vast variety of beers. There are high chairs, kids menu and a change table mat but take note that there isn't much room to manoeuvre a pram around.
The outdoor area was nice although not fenced. There was a fire pit which wasn't operating when we visited, but I am sure during winter they will fire it up. The outdoor area is a smoke free zone and allowed dogs on a leash.
The Adelaide Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Adelaide mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
The brewery itself is open plan so you can view the process in the background. If you like the local brews, they sell the beers and various merchandise to take home.
This brewery is a little better suited for families with a baby in a small pram or an older child as there isn't any activities for toddlers to keep them occupied, but you could always take along an iPad or some colouring pencils and paper to enjoy a nice lunch together.
